Dr. Dwayne is a global thinker, communicator, and educator with a passion for transforming lives through the power of leadership. He and his wife, Cheryl Whitehead, are the Lead Pastors of Destiny Global Church in Richmond, VA. The Whiteheads are an apostolic covering to leaders in various sectors around the country. Dr. Dwayne’s reach spans the arts, education, business and finance, government, and religion.
Dr. Dwayne is an accomplished singer and performer. He’s shared the stage with artists such as Lalah Hathaway, William Murphy, Ron Kenoly, Eric Roberson, Shirley Ceasar, and more. For over a decade, he has served as a worship pastor for various churches around the country. He’s a staple in Broadway, gospel music stage plays, and landed the starring role in the film, “The Biography of Johnny Youngblood.” The hit single, “We Ascend” debuted on billboard charts and has become a worship anthem around the country.
Dr. Dwayne is a gifted, provocative, and inspiring communicator. His voice has touched ministry and marketplace spaces. He ministers a prophetic and kingdom message with the goal of unlocking the destiny of individuals and geographic landscapes. He’s the author of the bestselling book, “I Learned the Hard Way- A Guide to Money Management,” and other books.
Dr. Dwayne is the President of The Whitehead Group. TWG is a for-profit initiative that offers leadership resources to individuals, churches, and businesses. His academic studies include theology, business, and theatre performance. He holds an earned doctorate in education from St. Thomas University in Miami Gardens, Florida. The Whiteheads are the proud parents of five.
